Each of us is called to express our creativity in our own way; for me it is the dance.
I have become proficient in several forms of dance: Tango, Merengue, Salsa, Swing and Modern Dance.
Of these, Tango has become my passion. My devotion to this art dance form has given me the opportunity to study Tango under
various teachers, among them Nito and Elba, Marcus Questas, Eric Lanoix, Daniel Trenner, Brooke Burdett and Florencia Tacetti.
It has also given me the opportunity to perform in numerous local Tango exhibitions such as those at St. Mary’s University,
King William Fair, Our Lady of the Lake University with Janis De Lara and the Tango orchestra Viva Tango,
The Three Tenor Tango show, Jump Start's Works in Progress, and various private events. Tango has led me to travel to Austin,
California, Argentina, Canada, Holland and Paris in order to learn more about the art of Tango.
In 1999, I met Frank Huddleston, with whom I shared the dream to bring Tango to San Antonio, Texas. Terry Bauch, Frank Huddleston, Kathy Robertson, and I started a group in San Antonio Texas to practice among ourselves, and to offer a medium in which Tango could grow and become a passion for others as well; passion cannot grow without the opportunity to share it with others. So now I teach part-time to small groups and provide private lessons.
My philosophy of Tango is work on the foundation, make it strong, and everything else will fall into place
